Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
This site is the personal website of Grant Hastings ("I", "me"). This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it.
What I collect
- Information you send through the contact form: your first and last name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the topic you choose and your message.
- Basic technical information: like most websites, the servers that host this site may log standard information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site running and secure.
- Spam protection data: the contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to stop automated spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and browser data, and sends it to Google for analysis.
- Embedded video: the home page includes a YouTube video in privacy-enhanced mode. When you play it, Google may collect information such as your IP address and device details, and may store data in your browser.
- Call bookings: if you book a call through the scheduling tool (Calendly), the details you enter, such as your name, email and any notes, are collected by Calendly and shared with me so we can meet.
I don't sell your information, and I don't use it for advertising.
How I use it
I use what you send me only to read and reply to your message or prepare for our call, for example about a job opportunity, a web design project or a question about my work.
Who else handles it
- Webflow hosts this site and stores form submissions on my behalf. See Webflow's Privacy Policy.
- Google provides reCAPTCHA and YouTube. Their use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Calendly handles call bookings. See Calendly's Privacy Notice.
I may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
I keep messages and booking details for as long as I need them to follow up with you, and delete them within 12 months unless we're still in touch.
Cookies
This site doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies of its own. Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies it needs to tell people from bots, the YouTube player may store data in your browser when you play the video, and Calendly may set cookies when you use its booking tool.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me to show you, correct or delete the information you've sent me. Depending on where you live, such as California or the EU/UK, you may have further rights under local privacy law. Email me at grantthastings@gmail.com and I'll respond within 30 days.
Children
This site isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top of this page.
